Hi, I am Megan and I have a serious cake addiction… no but really, I LOVE CAKE! I have such joyful memories of cake stemming from my childhood and beyond. After years of obsessive home baking for my always willing cake testers (my first daughter has to be half chocolate fudge cake at this point) Butter & Sugar Cakes was born from my kitchen table.
For me every beautiful cake must be a fantasy - from the most romantic of wedding cakes to fulfilling the daydreams of a princess obsessed little girl. Second only to cake is my absolute love for flowers - my favourite cakes are often covered with tonnes of the most beautifully scented garden roses - I love my cakes to come with a side of romance, there is not much more romantic than a pile of the most incredible blooms.
